Welcome

BADA is an academically rigorous learning community in which all members are supported to reach high standards.

In BADA the many curricula of high school are woven together through the lens and the media of digital arts and communication.

What is BADA all about?

BADA is all about being a small learning community. To us, this means that we, a small group of teachers, get the opportunity to truly know a small population of students. And when we truly know students, we can better educate them.

BADA is also all about the digital arts. Students today are well aware of the power of digital communication - they use cell phones, iPods and computers every day. We seek to build on our students’ natural interest in the digital arts to help create the next generation of visually literate, media savvy individuals.

BADA is committed to empowering students to take responsibility for their own educations. We believe that when natural curiosity is honored and respected – when students and teachers are given the space and the time, to develop and pursue interests of their own – real learning takes place. We believe that when students develop their own projects, they will naturally seek to understand and master state standards. BADA teachers are committed to providing guidance and support to students in their individual endeavors.
