Consider forming a 101 Rebel Reading Circle and earn a pin for your stole!

  • Find at least one other Rebel to read a book with you and choose a title from the 101 College Board List of Books.  
  • You can check these books out from SLzHS Library or you can find a free eBook version of many of the titles at: Project Gutenberg.
  • When you are done, find a teacher/staff member/ administrator to participate in a book discussion/talk that you and your fellow Rebel(s) will lead!  Earn a pin for your stole by reading the book and actively leading and participating in the book discussion/talk!
  • For more details about 101 Rebel Reading Circles, the 101 Books List, and teachers/staff members/ administrators who have already read these books, please go to pp.45-46 in the student handbook, or go talk to Ms. Marks in the library.

Students with a free period may use the library if there is no previously scheduled class in the library. 
These students should sign in at the front desk, and they are expected to be actively working or reading quietly.
