  • The check out period for library materials is 3 weeks (15 school days) and may be renewed as long as there are no reserves on the item.
  • Reference books are checked out for overnight use only and are due back before school the next day.
  • Back issues of magazines can be checked out for one week.
  • A student is responsible for all materials checked out under his or her name.  A student may use his or her ID to check out books for another person.

Fines and Fees:

  • Overdue books from the general collection (non-reference books) will receive a 5 cent per school day fine.
  • Overdue reference books will receive a 25 cent per school day fine.
  • Damaged book fees start at $2.  Severely damaged books are charged replacement cost.
  • If a book is lost, the student must pay the replacement cost.
  • Students may not check out additional books if they have overdue items and/or if they have fines exceeding $4.00.

Overdue Notices:

  • All checked out material is stamped inside the front cover with a due date.  This is the student’s notice of when the material needs to be turned in or renewed in order to avoid fines.
