LLC Mock Election

LLC Brings Voting Experience to SLz

The LLC Academy organized and ran San Lorenzo High School's first full-scale mock election in 2010 and continues to take leadership in running SLZ's school-wide mock elections.  Along with many schools around the state, the LLC Academy commits to putting democracy into action at the school site level.  On November 2, 2010, roughly 400 SLz students voted on senatorial and gubernatorial candidates and selected propositions.  In the November 2012 election nearly 600 students voted.  The Mock Election was fully staffed by LLC students.  Students set up polling places, informed voters, learned about the candidates, and tallied voting results.
