The native plant garden at SLz  was started over 10 years ago by students concerned with the campus environment. The Druids club used the money they earned through can and bottle recycling to purchase native plants and trees. The former vacant lot is now a living laboratory of California native plant communities.

Fourth grade students visit the native plant garden this spring to learn about the uses of native plants.
